Feeling Decorative

I was feeling inspired and created decor design #2 for Katie's new room.  Shabby chic, yellow, gold, and a pop of teal!  How cute is the idea to turn a bar cart into a makeup cart?!  (If I don't say so myself!)

J'adore Decor

In a few short months two of my closets friends are going to be moving (luckily, not TOO far away)!  Both very excited, yet overwhelmed with the millions of decor ideas, they have requested my help.  Thanks to the fabulous creative outlet, Polyvore, I have put together two different ideas for my two friends with very different tastes.  I tried to incorporate things similar to what they already own while adding a few new touches of flare.

Katie is moving into a condo with a roommate, where the common living spaces will have to be neutral to both of their tastes.  However, her bedroom will be a canvas of Katie!  She told me that she has a grey ruched jersey duvet, and loves gold and yellow.  I combined these things with other details that reminded me of Katies style (poppies, houndstooth, shabby chic details)  This is what I came up with!

Megan just bought her first house! She has many rooms to decorate, but I thought we'd start with the living room.  Currently living comfortably in her apartment are a few (fabulous) pieces of furniture which I tried to reproduce in this design.  She has a great plum microfiber couch, a teal secretary desk, a dark wood antique coffee table, and the artwork.  I would call Megan's style country chic, although the girl does play a mean electric guitar!  She loves books, sequins, The Beatles, and antiquing.  After combining all of these things I came up with this design for her new living room.  It's a little bit country, and a little bit rock and roll!
